Benny Borg Bonello is one of the founding members of the Consumers’ Association which was set up in 1982. He has been an activist in the area of consumer protection since then, holding different positions within the organization. He has served as president of the Association for the last three years.

Periodically he writes on local consumer issues and has delivered several papers abroad on the subject. He believes in consumer education and believes that with concerted action, the consumer lobby, one day, would be effective as in other countries.
