According to our feedback these lists have proved to be very popular with readers as well as with the relevant shops/outlets/companies. Therefore we have decided to set up this “Consumer Guide” in our website. Basically it is a special form of advertising drawn up by us on the basis of our verification. Consumers too will have their part in the verification.
The relevant shops/outlets/companies must abide by specific conditions in order to be eligible and, once included, they are subject to being checked on an ongoing basis by readers of the Customer Service Column and visitors to this website thus ensuring that they continue abiding by the relevant conditions. In fact consumers are encouraged to inform us if any commitments or promises made in their guarantees are not honoured. If, on investigation, it transpires that they did not honour their claims such shops/outlets/companies will be removed from the list. In such cases the fee paid for the advertising will not be refunded.
These lists are featured regularly in the Customer Service Column. So far we have lists of:-
Shops/outlets/companies which have a “money back” policy;
Photo processing outlets that offer their service at very reasonable rates;
Shops/outlets/companies that offer what we can describe as “no-nonsense” guarantees subject to specific terms and conditions;
Restaurants where they have “no smoking” areas;
Those shops/outlets/companies included in our lists are eligible to advertise in this “Consumer Guide”. However any companies who offer something special and wish to advertise can contact us on mif@maltanet.net
